Contestant 11, 12, 14, 15, and 16 stand in front of a Patricia Stevens agency banner that hangs behind them on silver lamé drapes wearing one-piece swimsuits during the Miss Boating 1982 pageant. Their contestant number cards are attached to their swimsuits on their left hips. Farthest to the left, contestant 11 wears a red v-neck swimsuit, a wrist watch, and taupe open-toed shoes. To her left, contestant 18 wears a strapless black swimsuit with white orchids printed all over the suit, a wrist watch and white open-toed shoes with ankle straps. To her left, contestant 11 wears a purple v-neck swimsuit with three stripes around the v-neck of white, pink, and turquoise and small, heart-shaped earrings. To her left, contestant 12 wears a red swimsuit with white piping around the top of the bodice, around the leg openings, and down her side. The spaghetti strap attaches at the center of the bodice and continues around her neck to form a "V" on her chest. To her left, contestant 14 looks to her right and wears a necklace with a small pink gem, a gold wrist watch, and a pink, knit, strapless swimsuit with white piping around the top of the bodice and around the leg openings and a white belt with a gold clasp. To her left, contestant 15 wears a pink swimsuit with pink roses and green leaves, spaghetti straps, and a gold necklace. Farthest to the right, contestant 16 wears a black v-neck swimsuit with a key hole from the top of the v-neck and over her stomach. The show was held at the Kansas City Trade Mart in the downtown airport, Kansas City, Missouri. This photograph was taken at the Patricia Stevens Studio.
