An unidentified African American couple having tea at their dining room table using a silver tea service. The dining table has spiral turned legs and is covered with an embroidered and fringed tablecloth. The ceilings and walls are covered with wallpaper and the floor has a printed pattern. One electric light hangs from the ceiling in the center of the room. The corner cabinet has more silver tea pieces. There are two cascading plate displays on each side of the corner cabinet. A bedroom is visible through the door on the left side of the photograph. The bedframe is metal with a small wooden rocking chair at the foot of the bed.
