Two unidentified smiling African American women and other African American men and women on Thanksgiving inside the Jockey Club, 10th and Paseo, Kansas City, Missouri. The woman to the left is holding a cigarette in her left hand as she wears a white tall hat with a large brooch in the center top, a corsage on her left shoulder, a dark, short-sleeved, mid-length dress and dark sleeves that come above her elbows, and open-toed heels with ankle straps. She holds a cigarette in her left hand. The woman to the right, possibly Louise, wears a small disk-shaped hat with two feathers curled to be attached, a three-strand pearl necklace, a large corsage on her left shoulder, a pressed-silk button-down blouse over a matching pressed silk skirt, open-toed heels with ankle straps. A band, whose members are African American, sits on stage likely playing jazz at the Jockey Club, 10th and Paseo in Kansas City, Missouri. Farthest to the left is Bill Jones playing drums as he wears sunglasses. In front of Bill and to his left is a seated unidentified sax player blowing into his alto saxophone. To his left in the center of the stage is an unidentified bass player with his head slightly bent forward but his eyes looking up straight at the photographer. Behind the bass player and to his left is William Fisher playing the piano and looking out between the piano and the lifted lid. In front of William Fisher and slightly to his left is an unidentified seated trumpet player blowing into his horn. Around the edge of the stage is a scalloped stage decoration of two horse heads facing each other with a jockey's cap in between them.
