Information about the book: This book introduced the method of determining time by altitude, which was originally discovered by Ibn Junis (Yunis), to Europe. The title page shows an early example of copyright, saying it’s forbidden by imperial edict to print or sell this book within the next ten years. The consequence for doing this was confiscation of all copies and a fine of fifty gold coins for each counterfeit book printed or sold. Biographical Information: Peuerbach and Regiomontanus were two leading astronomers of the fifteenth century.
