The Honorable John J. McKeithen, Governor of the state of Louisiana, was one of the many who paid tribute to the Hawks' retiring Bob Pettit during half-time ceremonies Sunday night at Kiel Auditorium. Gov. McKeithen is shown at the microphone as Pettit (left), his parents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pettit Sr., of Baton Rouge, La., and his fiance, Miss Carol Crowell (right) listen. Pettit will retire at the conclusion of the playoffs, which begin here against Balitmore Wednesday . The Hawks beat New York 112-103, Sunday night.
