Description: Mercantile Trust Company has become the first bank in the nation to put into general service the IBM 4700, an advanced computer system for bank tellers. Mercantile has been testing the state-of-the-art computer terminal system since mid-May in a joint program with IBM. The system enables tellers to serve customers more quickly and efficiently.
