"Homeless after roof collapse: Alice Griemel, left, and Viola Kaldy stand in front of their apartment buiding at 1314 St. Louis Ave. They are among five persons left homeless after the roof on the building collapsed Friday afternoon. Authorities said the cause of the collapse was a combination of factors - primarily the weight of snow and water and the age of the roof. But the building's owner. Elmer A. Solberg, said the roof was only three months old. He said he does not know what caused the collapse but said that a front cornice, which was old, also collapsed. The Red Cross said it would find temporary shelter for the homeless. No one was injured."
