Description: "Where Convention Center Would Be. Mayor Cervantes announced plans Wednesday for a $75 million convention plaza complex in the DeSoto-Carr urban renewal area downtown. Keystone of the plaza would be a convention center in the enclosed area, bounded by Delmar boulevard and 7th, 9th and Cole streets. This view is east toward the river with 12th street at bottom."
