"PRESIDENTS OF WINNING ORGANIZATIONS in the Gloibe-Democrat's annual Club Leadership Awards visit following last week's luncheon at the Mello Colony Hotel at which the newspaper honored Eight District Federated Blubs. From left: Mrs. David Hinni, president of the Wednesday Club of Eureka, first award for leading a city-wide financial drive to obtain a Hurst tool for freeing victims from wrecked automobiles; Mrs. Francis Quinn, Tuesday Literary Club of St. Louis, second award for collecting books to be given to pupils at Adams School; Mrs. William Heintzelman, Glendale Women's Club, third award for spearheading a commuity-wide Fourth of July extravaganza.
