"Cincinnati, Aug. 19 - Young Hurlers Aid Cardinals - Winning 17 out of the last 19 games, the St. Louis Cardinals looked like a hot club as the Red Birds came here today for a series with the league-leading Reds. The young pitchers have played a big part in the stretch drive which carried the club to within 5 1/2 games of the leaders. Three of the youngsters, shown above left to right, are Robert Bowman, Thomas Sunkel and Morton Cooper."
