"Looking at several of the winning pictures in the National Newspaper Snapshot contest, which went on display Monday in the lobby of Mercantile Trust Company, 721 Locust st., is Mercantile president John Fox. The Globe-Democrat is the St. Louis area sponsor of the annual contest. Among the 104 black and white and 64 colored photographs are three taken by winners of The Globe's contest last summer. The exhibit will remain on display through March 13." The display reads "25 Annual Newspaper National Snapshot Awards", and underneath it among the winning photos reads, "This exhibit displayed through the courtesy of the St. Louis Globe-Democrat, local sponsors of the National Snapshots Award Contest." The photos, among other things, are of playful children and boats.
