Description: "It takes about 3,500 gallons of paint for the scenery and props for a season's worth of Municipal Opera productions--enough paint to put traffic stripes on about 200 miles of roads... Beneath the 150-foot-long stage is a fully equipped carpentry shop where the daily sounds of hammers, drills and saws accompanies the strains of chorus practice from the two nearby rehearsal stages."
