"Foremost among these are the entire bodies of nine martyrs, six of which occupy prominent places in the chapel at the Mother House... The body of Saint Nerusia Euticia, a young Roman noblewoman of the second century, was taken from the Cemetery of Saint Calipodius July 16, 1801. It reposes in a sarcophagus of rich wood and plate glass. The skeleton is held together with gauze, through which the bones may be traced in the hands and feet. The features are filled out in beautiful outline with wax, and the parted lips reveal the perfect teeth. The dress is gold brocade with tunic of silver cloth. The Vas Sanguinis is enclosed in antique urn of brass; and on slab of marble, discolored with age, the inscription is cut in ancient Roman letters."
