Three Female Guards Militarized by Capt. R. A. Jackson
"Three women guards, being militarized by Capt. R. A. Jackson, internal security officer of the Seventh Corps Area, are now serving with men in the organization of 27 guards at the Carter Carburetor Corporation plant, which manufactures shell fuses. The women are from the left: Miss Betty Steen and Mrs. Hilda Moeller, formerly of the plant's inspection department, and Mrs. Edith Wieden-hoffer, foermerly of the fuse department. They will not be armed, but will do escorting within the plant, be on duty in the women's locker rooms and have charge of the general conduct of women emplyees."

Uniformity of adjustment far beyond post needs will be required of carburetors in the anti-smog systems that will be on all 1968 cars."
