A Total of 7500 Safe Deposit Boxes were hoisted out of the basement of the Mississippi Valley Trust Company yesterday and moved to the Mercantile Commerce Bank & Trust Company, Eighth and Locust streets, where the new Mercantile Trust Company, a merger of the two banks, will open Tuesday.
Hampton Bank of St. Louis has moved to its new quarters in Hampton Bank Building, across from Hampton Village Shopping Center. It will hold open house there today from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. James Rush James Jr. is president.
First National Bank in St. Louis proposed new store and office building at the southeast corner of Sixth and Locust streets is scheduled for completion on or around June 1, 1962.
