The Hearing got hot. C Larry Unland president of the Board of Public Service, speaking Wednesday at what turned into a tumultuous public hearing at City Hall on a state highway project. The hearing broke up in a march on teh mayor's office and the manhandling of Joseph Badaracco, president of the Board of Alderman.
St. Louis, February 9--Hospital Demostration- At least 200 angry north St. Louis residents showed up at the City Hall Fridy to protest plans to eliminate some services at Homer G. Phillips Hospital, which serves the city's north side.

If you've waited until the last minute to get your city stickers, you;ll probably be waiting in lines like these at city Hall with all the other procrastinators. The dealine to get city stickers is on Saturday.
De-Wiring: Richard Crane of Murphysboro, ILL., is working for the Western Waterproofing Co. to remove the electrical wiring from atop the northeast corner of the City Hall Monday. The wiring was strung up about ten years ago to control pigeons, but was used for only for a short time because of the complaints of the Human Society and others. The anchors holding the wiring were causing the stone to chip.
Deadline Beaters: St. Louisans wait-and wait-and wait-Saturday morning outside the City Hall to Purchase City to purchase city automobile stickers and beat the noon deadline. For those without the stickers? Well, arrests start at 7 a.m. Monday.
