An automatic teller system known as Bankmatic Touch & Go is being inaugurated at City Bank, 4625 Lindell Blvd., and Brentwood Blvd., and units will be installed soon at American National Bank, 6639 S. Kingshighwy Blvd. Customers must have a special plastic card and a personal indentification number to use the the automatic.
Gateway National Bank received a $100,000 check Wednesday, from the American Oil Co. division of Standard Oil, the first black managed Missouri bank to receive federal excise tax fund collected on gasoline sales. Building and construction tradesmen have pledge there will be no jurisdictional disputes to slow down or halt construction of the $48 million, 31-story downtown office building and bank complex to be built during the next 27 months in the Busch Memorial Stadium.
The new Stadium Drive-In of the First National Bank in St. louis opened Monday at Seventh and Market streets in downtown, St. Louis, immediately north of busch Memorial Stadium. The two-story concrete and glass structure has both drive-in and walk-in banking facilities. The facility opens for business Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 8 a.m. Hours for banking will be 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
A two block area (dotted lines) just west and north of Busch Memorial Stadium, is the site of a $40 million bank building and office complex which will be built as a joint venture by First National bank in St. Louis, International Business Machines Corporation and The Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States. The site is bounded by Market Street on the south, 10th Street on the west and 8th Street on the east.

Pioneer Bank & Trust Company has initiated a program naming area high school students to a junior board of directors, which will meet monthly with executives from Pioneer Bank's management group to gain an understanding of the free enterprise system and the role a bank plays in its community.
