Among the 9,000 Old Newsboys who volunteered last week to aid in the Globe-Democrat benefit for St. Louis children's charities were Ken Watson and Andy Hubbartt Jr. selling papers at the city limits of St. Peters. The collection tlaly already has topped $100,000 --- well over the $75,000 goal.
County Magistrate Judge Joseph A. Goeke, a member of the Lemay Optimist Club, sold Old Newsboys editions before daylight at Lemay Ferry and Bayless Roads. Old Newsboys Day collections have already passed the $75,000 goal with more than $88,000 to date on deposit for distribution to area children's agencies.
