"Relatives and friends of The Globe-Democrat's 1959 Ten Women of Achievement turned out about 1000 strong Monday at the annual Women of Achievement luncheon. Richard H. Amberg, publisher of The Globe-Democrat (at the microphone) presented each of the 10 honored women with a silver plate at the luncheon, held in the Khorassan Room of the Hotel Chase.
