Two Women of Achievement for 1962, Mrs. Alexander S. Langsdorf and Mrs. George A. McCalpin, attended the event yesterday to applaud the new Ten Women of Achievement.
"Among the teachers participating at workshop on use of the newspaper in the classroom were: Mrs. Janice R. Fleming, left, Mrs. Marilyn Quain, above left, Dennis H. Zorumski and Mrs. Jane Luennemann. The workshop was cosponsored by the Globe-Democrat."
Honoring Mrs. Harry E. Wuertenbaecher were Mrs. James P. Hickrok (left) and Mrs. Elmer F. Bowman. Mrs. Wuertenbaecher was chosen Women of Achievement in the field of Civic responsibility.
"Simplicity and originality marked the display at home of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Mangold of 1665 Pepperwood Dr., Creve Coeur, first in residential displays costing $75 or less. It included a musical tribute with choirs singing beneath three-dimensional arches symbolizing church windows."
