Haney will depart for Chicago tomorrow with club officials, to take part in the major league confabs."
"Boys From Palmyra Go To The Ball Game - Forty-four youngsters from Palmyra, Mo., came to St. Louis to see the Cardinals beat the Giants yesterday, as guests of the Boots-Dickson Post of the American Legion at Palmyra. Pepper Martin and Billy Southworth of the Cards are shown as they went over to the left-field grand stand to visit the boys. Other sites the youngsters saw were the St. Louis Zoo and Lambert Field."

It is unclear if the Phillies or Cardinals were up to bat, but in both games, players attempted to steal bases. Bill Atwood of the Philly team, and Joe Orengo of the Cardinals took their chances at a steal.
