Title: City of Huntington
Description: The City of Huntington was a steam ferry boat built at Middleport, Ohio in 1900. Her dimensions were:- 84.3 x 26.8 x 3.6 feet; 58 tons. In 1900 her home port was listed as Wheeling, West Virginia. From 1918 until about 1936 she was used at Huntington, West Virginia. One historian states that originally she was named Pike.

Description: . After 14 years of service at Vicksburg, Mississippi she was returned to Dubuque in 1921 and lengthened 57 feet; total new length 365 feet. Tonnage: gross, 1313; net, 1281 tons. With the construction of a new highway and railroad bridge at Vicksburg she was sold to the Streckfus Steamers about 1937 and her hull and engine used in the construction of the Admiral. She is now 360 x 52.7 x 7.6 feet. She

Description: This map, plotted out by Norbury Wayman, shows the various locations of steamboat lines and related companies on the St. Louis levee, detailing three periods of time; before 1865; 1865 - 1900; and 1900 - 1953. Lines and companies are donated by name, location and years of operation. Nearby streets are mapped as well, for easy frame of reference. Scale in feet: 100 ft. = 1 inch.
