The Iron City was built at Parkersburg, West Virginia in 1912. Her dimensions were: - 120.6 x 22.9 x 3.4 feet; 99 tons. She has a wood hull. Her engines are high pressure, 15 inches in diameter with a 5-foot stroke; 250 horse power. She has three return flue boilers. Her cabin and part of her upper works were entirely rebuilt in 1935 following a fire in August 1934. She is owned by the Iron City
