A little before two o'clock a fire broke out in the Clifton, caused, it is supposed, by the upsetting of a lamp. Five steamers were lying in close proximity, and above these six others. A near riot resulted yesterday when teenagers flocked to see Frankie Laine, Cab Calloway, Dinah Washington and Cootie Williams at a free show given at Club Riviera, 4460 Delmar bl. The club was damaged in the rush, although there was no vandalism.
