14x11 in photograph of the old Boatman's Bank building in March of 1900. A sign for Shapleigh Hardware adorns the building and there is an advertisement in the foreground for recreational boating on the Meramec River.
"Harry F. Harrington (right) president of Boatmen's National Bank, chooses with artist Frank Faquin a photo for the exhibit now on display in the bank windows at 314 North Broadway. The pictures are the major winners in the twenty-second annual Newspaper Snapshot Awards contest sponsored locally by The Globe-Democrat. The display will continue through May." The two men viewing the photographs are standing next to a large table covered in the photos slid into plastic sleeves. On the peg board behind it there's a sign that reads, "22nd Annual Newspaper Snapshot Awards".
