Description: Construction began October 12 on the First National Bank Building on IBM Plaza, shown in this architechtural rending, with ground-breaking ceremonies at the two-block site in dowtown St. Louis. The bank buidling and office complex, when completed, will be the venture of Fist National Bank in St. Louis, International Business Machines Cooparation and The Equiptable Life Assurance Society of the UnitedState.
