"For Immediate Release: St. Louis City Officials, Mayor John H. Poelker, second from right, and Comptroller John F. Bass, far right, accepted the award won by the City of St. Louis entry in the Tournament of Roses Parade on January 1, with August A. Busch, Jr., second from left, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Anheuser-Busch, Inc., accepting the award on behalf of the company which has sponsored all St. Louis entries in the Parade since 1953. Presenting the award were Edward Wilson, cneter, president of the Tournament of Roses Association, and his wife. The 1973 entry was entitled, "Stagecoach," and won the Grand Marshal's Trophy."
