"For Immediate Release: Paul Bryan, center, president of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, Friday prsented the most coveted sweepstakes trophy for the 1974 pageant to the City of St. Louis Float. The float, ". . . A Snowflake," depicted 19th Century winter scenes, and was pulled by the famous Anheuser-Busch eight-horse Clydesdale hitch. Looking on are, from left: Joseph L. Badaracco, president of the St. Louis Board of Aldermen, Anheuser-Busch Senior Vice President Fred L. Kuhlmann (representing August A. Busch, Jr.), St. Louis Assessor Glenn McBrady (who represented Mayor Poelker), and St. Louis Comptroller John Bass."
