Description: "The new St. Anthony's Franciscan Monastery at the southeast corner of Compton Avenue and Meramec Street. The building, which will have accommodations for forty monks, adjoins St. Anthony's Church. It has a third-floor library, seven parlors and forty living rooms. Rev. Bernardus Wewer is the pastor. The Mississippi Valley Construction Company was the general contractor. Henry P. Hess, architect."
